Protect your investments with ATEX Transformer Rectifiers
In an increasingly hazardous world, many operators are wisely opting for risk-averse solutions for sensitive projects.
This trend is becoming increasingly apparent across a variety of large industrial sites, from storage facilities to petrochemical sectors. Classifying electrical systems as Hazardous Area rather than Non-Hazardous future-proofs plants, whilst enhancing overall safety and reliability in the long term.
Cathodic Protection Co. Ltd (CPCL) are one of the few organisations that design and manufacture ATEX Oil-Cooled Transformer Rectifiers (TRs). These units are specifically designed for use on impressed current cathodic protection systems, protecting structures in extreme environments from corrosion. Discover the unique characteristics of this product below.
Invaluable, explosion-proof equipment
CPCL have a rich history of manufacturing explosion-proof equipment – including air cooled transformer rectifiers, junction boxes and other custom applications. Capitalising on this wealth of experience, we have developed a range of oil-cooled transformer rectifiers for use in specifically hazardous environments.
Our tanks are pressure tested as per the requirements of Section 6.1.3 of IEC 60079-6 to ensure ongoing reliability, whilst all of the sealing materials are tested to the requirements of Section 7 of IEC 60079-0 to safeguard stability and on-going performance.
Fully certified and accredited
CPCL offers top-of-the-range, modern transformer rectifier technology for all applications. They are certified for use in Zone 2 hazardous areas and comply with ATEX, IECEx and UKEx specifications. In addition, they are capable of withstanding extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C.
Remote and local monitoring available
These units have both local and remote-control capability – ensuring they can be monitored and maintained either on site or in person, through our Remote Monitoring and Control System (RMCS).
Local control is available through external push buttons, without the need to open any enclosures. This ensures no specialist equipment or training is required to operate the unit in the hazardous area.
