Project Manager Presents to ICorr

Cathodic Protection Co Ltd has a very close relationship with the Institute of Corrosion.  The company hosted the Midlands Branch meeting last September and, on 2nd March 2016, CPCL Project Manager Stuart Martin gave an informed and interesting presentation to the group.

The meeting, which took place in the offices of National Grid in Birmingham, was well attended as it included the ICorr Branch AGM.

Stuart’s presentation, entitled “American Innovations – Pipeline Compliance System & Loggers”, gave an in depth insight into the Pipeline Compliance System, industry leading software designed to help transmission and distribution operators’ pipeline management teams.  The PCS, developed by CPCL’s US partners American Innovations, is a fully modular system that manages compliance information collected for natural gas, hazardous liquids and other pipeline systems.  It allows the managers to collect, analyse and report pipeline and facility data.

The presentation was well received by the attendees, who had some good questions and queries which were ably answered by Stuart, the main point of contact in the UK for the American Innovations system.  Two other CPCL staff, Chris Martin and Chris Pimm, also attended the meeting as the PCS is widely used by the company’s Field Services engineers.
