NACE in Vancouver – A Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

The intrepid crew of Rob Holden (Managing Director), Stuart Martin (Project Manager) and Dan McCarthy (Project Engineer) have made the long flight home from Corrosion 2016, this year being held in Vancouver.

There was no shortage of volunteers when NACE announced that Corrosion 2016 would be in Vancouver, such is the reputation of the city.  And Stuart was just as enthusiastic when he arrived back.  “The city is stunning, standing between the sea and high snow-capped mountains.  I’m very glad I had the opportunity to attend NACE and enjoy not only a worthwhile event, but also the beauty of the cityscape.”

The event itself was perhaps a little quieter than normal, which is not surprising as Vancouver is some distance from the usual venues in Texas.  But of course it’s quality that counts, and the Cathodic Protection Co Ltd stand was on the receiving end of a lot of interest.  CPCL’s new Switch Mode Power Supply was being demonstrated for the first time in Vancouver, with a presence on both the stand and also in the Product Showcase display.

With plenty of good contacts made and, of course, old friendships renewed, NACE Corrosion will remain the main event in the industry calendar.
