Libyan Delegation at CPCL for Training
As the economic climate improves in Libya, Cathodic Protection Co Ltd is making inroads into the oil, gas and utility markets in the North Africa state.
The company was delighted to host two guests from the Libyan Harouge Oil Operations, owner of the Amal Oilfield, for a week as they visited for cathodic protection advanced training Ali Abdulmula, from the company’s Tripoli head office, and Saied Mohammed Saleh from the Amal Oilfield, spent time discussing CP design with senior CP engineers Dan Marshall and Simon Filmore. Their main concerns were the mitigation of corrosion following the damage caused by war, and the CPCL engineers offered advice on the refurbishment and cathodic protection of facilities in Libya.
Sales Manager Stuart Martin (pictured above with the guests), who played host to the delegation, was delighted with the outcome. “CPCL has a vested interest in Libyan operations, as the country is showing huge potential as it re-emerges as a growing market. We are therefore happy to work with Harouge Oil Operations, offering high level advice and training.”
The visit came on the back of orders for cathodic protection materials, specifically for the protection of storage tanks.
