CPCL’s Macmillan Coffee Morning

The team here at CPCL organised a Coffee Morning to raise awareness and donations for Macmillan Cancer Support.

As part of a nationwide initiative to raise vital funds in support of the almost 3.5 million people in the UK living with cancer, the team baked or bought in sweet and savoury treats of all shapes and sizes!

From homemade banana bread and chocolate cake, to freshly baked cookies and store-bought treats, everyone was invited to tuck in to the plethora of sweets on display. The donations were extremely generous, and will make a real difference for people using Macmillan’s support services.

The number of people living with cancer in the UK is rising, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds. Macmillan is doing everything they can to ensure everyone gets the best possible care.

The organisation provides services for people living with cancer at every stage of their experience – such as implementing the Macmillan Support Line, distributing informative booklets, fostering a positive online community and having knowledgeable, empathetic professionals on standby.
