CeoCor’s first visit to the UK resulted in the highest attendance figures ever, as delegates enjoyed a week of technical discussion, presentations and social events in the glorious setting of Stratford-upon-Avon.

And Cathodic Protection Co Ltd was at the heart of the event, as a Gold Sponsor and sponsor of the BBQ and Jazz Evening.  The company had a huge presence throughout the 4 day event, from the 15th to 18th May, with 5 specialist engineers attending.

The team, led by Technical Manager Marcus Hardy, not only demonstrated some of CPCL’s latest innovations, but also were involved in many of the discussions and presentations.  Marcus presented a paper on the field contamination of reference cells and whether we need a reference cell that can be verified whilst in use, which was very well received.by the delegates.

CeoCor is a non-profit association of corrosion specialists from all aspects of the industry and education which promotes the open discussion of corrosion issues and the innovations that bring these issues under control.  The event, held in different countries every year, brings together the engineers for four days of networking and scientific and technical guidance.

Marcus Hardy was clear about the benefits of the conference for CPCL and the wider industry in general.   “As a UK-based manufacturer it was very rewarding to see all the organisational hard work repaid with such a high attendance.  It showed that Europe can still work together in these uncertain times and effectively collaborate on corrosion control.”
