CPCL at MECOC 2025

We’re thrilled to share highlights from our recent participation in the 4th Middle East Metallurgy, Corrosion, and Coatings Expo (MECOC 2025), held from January 14–16 at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers. Recognised as an Associate Sponsor, Cathodic Protection Co Ltd  (CPCL) was proud to stand alongside industry leaders and innovators in corrosion prevention and coatings technology.

Our Technical Design Manager, Rob Mason, and Sales Manager, Ed Sparks, represented CPCL at Booth A1, where they enjoyed three days of networking with professionals from across the globe. It was also pleasure to exhibit with our valued partners, including Ivano Magnifico (AUTOMA)Simone Tremolada (De Nora), and representatives from Al Mazroui Engineering Company.

A proud moment at CPCL was when Rob presented his technical paper, titled: “Specification, Design, Installation, and Commissioning of Cathodic Protection Systems for Mixed Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Locations.” Delivered on Day 2 of the conference, Rob’s session offered deep insights into:

  • Basic Principles of Explosive Atmospheres

  • ATEX/IECEx Product Markings
  • ATEX/IECEx Location Ratings

  • Significance of Temperature Ratings

  • ATEX/IECEx Installation Requirements

  • ATEX/IECEx Inspection Requirements

  • IP Ratings

  • Practical Considerations

  • Cathodic Protection Product Considerations

Rob’s expertise was recognized in an awards presentation, celebrating his contribution to the conference and the wider industry. Both Ivano and Simone were also panelists on the discussion panel “Cathodic Protection in Challenging Environments,” sharing their perspectives and experiences in the industry.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our booth, attended Rob’s presentation, and supported CPCL throughout the event. We’re grateful to the MECOC organizing committee for the opportunity to contribute and collaborate.
