Cathodic Protection Co. Ltd. strengthens ties with CEOCOR

Following a very successful CEOCOR Congress 2017 in Luxembourg, CPCL has announced that it will be one of the major sponsors of next year’s event, to be held for the first time in the UK in Stratford on Avon.

CEOCOR is a not for profit international scientific organisation, established in 1981, active throughout Europe in matters relating to the external and internal corrosion of pipelines.  Members include water, gas and oil distribution companies, research centres, producers of pipelines and, of course, cathodic protection specialists.  CEOCOR functions as a forum for technical and scientific exchange, and at the Congress held each spring technical papers are presented and discussed, along with an exhibition by members.

Marcus Hardy, Technical Manager, and Simon Filmore, Project Engineer, attended the 2017 Congress on behalf of CPCL. Marcus gave a presentation on the complex issue of the regulations covering hazardous areas, and how these apply to cathodic protection equipment. This is a topic where CPCL has gained significant experience over recent years, having manufactured a large range of equipment for hazardous sites. The presentation was well received with many delegates commenting that they were much better informed as a result. Some went away looking a little worried as well!

Both Marcus and Simon enthused about the content of the presentations and the quality of the discussion.

As a result, CPCL has agreed to be a Gold Sponsor of the 2018 event, as well as sponsoring the BBQ and Jazz Evening.  The company is a keen supporter of CEOCOR, and believes that active participation will benefit the industry. It will also benefit CPCL as it continues to develop new products and services in response to emerging technologies and changing industry requirements.
