CPCL Supports Young Designer Initiative
Working in an industry where innovative design has given Cathodic Protection Co Ltd a lead over its rivals, the company was very keen to support young designers in Lincolnshire.
The Lincolnshire Young Designer of the Year Awards 2016 took place on Friday 1st July at the National Centre for Craft & Design in Sleaford, and CPCL was proud to sponsor the event. Open to Lincolnshire’s school pupils between the ages of 13 and 19, the event celebrates the wealth of young design talent in the county.
The event was attended by CPCL Managing Director Rob Holden, who was also invited to be one of the judges, and Technical Manager Marcus Hardy. Rob was highly impressed with the standard of the design work, commenting “Not only did many of the design elements of the products on display really stand out, but the quality of the workmanship was astounding”.

The well-deserved outright winner was Oliver Means from Lincoln Priory, for his beautifully designed and manufactured rocking chair. Oliver is soon to be starting a Product Design degree at university.
