Swain Meters
Cathodic Protection Co. Ltd are pleased to represent
Swain Meter.
Field portable non-contact ammeters for corrosion protection, fault location, and quality assurance.
They are accurate, convenient, and trouble-free under normal field or factory conditions. For use on ,
Our MER Meter ® (Magnetic Error Reduction) solves the magnetic interference problem. It can be 2 to 3 times more accurate and faster to use when measuring current flowing in ½" to 48" pipe having residual magnetism. The AutoMER™ model combines automatic control with Magnetic Error Reduction -- range and zero are set automatically.
New!
Our new MER 2 Meters™ are used to measure actual pipe current, both magnitude and direction of flow, more accurately and in less time, even under water. Zero offset error due to magnetized pipe is likely reduced to less than ¼ that of a standard meter.
MER 2 is for measuring cathodic protection current, stray current, insulating flanges, and locating electrical shorts.
Measure 20 mA to 200 Ampere with field portable or permanently installed clamps from 6 to 60 inch diameter aperture. Clips from ¾ to 6 inch have 1 mA resolution. These clips and clamps are constructed to reduce zero offset error by resisting nearby magnetism as shown in U.S. Patent 6,323,635 B1.
We Build to Suit Your Needs

Both
analog and digital
models of DC Amp Clip™ and AC Amp Clip™ are available from ¼" to 60" diameter aperture. They measure live line current from 5 mA to over 200 Amp.
